Your first appointment

We prefer to see you following a letter of referral from your GP or consultant gynaecologist. However, if you don’t wish to inform your doctor, or if you don’t have a doctor or a gynaecologist, you can still contact us personally to arrange an appointment.

Diagnostic fertility investigations

If you or your partner have undergone any diagnostic fertility investigations such as a laparoscopy, hysterosalpingogram, endocrine tests, and semen analysis or had assisted fertility treatment in the past, it’s helpful if you could bring the results of these investigations and treatment reports to your initial consultation. If you have not already undergone diagnostic fertility investigations, we can arrange these for you through a reputable associate clinic or laboratory.

Questions and observations

Your first consultation gives us the opportunity to ask you questions about your medical history, any previous investigations, treatment and your general health. As Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners we also use our sense of hearing, sight, touch and smell to build up a clearer picture. We’ll note the appearance of an individual’s skin, tongue, pulse and general appearance and possibly how a person, speaks and smells.

A more relaxed approach

The gentle nature of Traditional Chinese Medicine means that should you decide to go ahead and embark on a treatment programme, you’ll find it physically undemanding and wonderfully relaxing.

Unlike many other treatment regimes, it fits easily into a normal daily routine and can easily be adapted so that you can continue treatment if you need to leave home on business trips or go on holiday.
