Starting your treatment

Once you’ve had your initial consultation and have decided to start your Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment, there are a couple of things you need to do.

You need to have a Haematology and Biochemistry blood test, which gives us your full blood count, liver and kidney function, and which we can organise on your behalf if you prefer.

Once you’ve had the test, please call us as soon as possible so we can order you 2-3 weeks of herbal medication to take before your next appointment. If there’s a delay in receiving blood test results, you’ll need to make an appointment where you’ll receive acupuncture and herbal medicine on the same day. If the tests show up any serious problems, we’ll get in touch with you, as treatment cannot be started.
